Encounter’s Vision is simple. We want to help people encounter Christ. We believe there are three stages to encountering Christ.
→ Rescued
(Luke 19:10 “For the son of man came to seek and save the lost.”)
We must first be rescued from our sins. The strategy Encounter employees to see the lost rescued is through praying for the lost, caring for their needs and sharing the gospel with them. We also believe that if we as the body of Christ would become attractive to God he will attract the lost to himself through us. We believe if we love one another all men will know we are His disciples. (John 13:34-35) We believe if we humble ourselves and get right with God – He will come and heal our land. (II Chronicles 7:14)
→ Restored
(Luke 4:18-19 “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach the good news to the poor. He has set me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”)
When we get saved from our sins the Lord’s next goal is that we would let the Holy Spirit begin to work in our lives to restore us to God. The first sin in the Garden of Eden separated man from God. That resulted in man looking for security, significance and acceptance in every place except from God. When we get restored to the Lord and in right relationship with Him we will discover He is everything we need!

(Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”)
God the Father did not simply save us to add to His number of children. He has plans for us. He has a destiny for us to walk in on this earth. He has given us gifts and assignments where we are to use them. The more we walk with the Lord the more clear our purpose in this life becomes. As we seek first His Kingdom and His Righteousness – the Lord adds everything we need to do what He has created us to do!
